verb accept something reluctantly but without protest

apocryphal
adjective (of a story or statement) of doubtful authenticity, although widely circulated as being true

apogee
noun the highest point in the development of something; a climax or culmination

commensurate
adjective corresponding in size or degree; in proportion

expound
verb present and explain (a theory or idea) in detail

fortuitous
adjective happening by a lucky chance; fortunate

gesticulate
verb use gestures, especially dramatic ones, instead of speaking or to emphasize one's words

gregarious
adjective (of a person) fond of company; sociable

interlocutor
noun a person who takes part in a dialogue or conversation

magnanimous
adjective generous or forgiving, especially towards a rival or less powerful person

nadir
noun the lowest or most unsuccessful point in a situation

risible
adjective provoking laughter through being ludicrous

tenuous
adjective very weak or slight

ubiquitous
adjective present, appearing, or found everywhere

verisimilitude
noun the appearance of being real or true

wistful
adjective having or showing a feeling of vague or regretful longing
